Welcome to LAE
|
Until now , the pursuit of a career in this field would have been possible only by hanging around after gigs and assisting with humping equipment, in the hope of asking a sound engineer for his advice.
Fortunately a better alternative now exists, thanks to the workshops initiated by LAE, where hands-on experience is the principle motive behind all our Live Audio Engineering courses.

"LIVE SOUND COURSE" at
King's Head at LONDON (UK) |

Our Aims
Lae has designed courses to pprovide practical experience and prepare students for a career in Live audio Engineering. These courses develop the esential confidence in one's own ability to operate a range of technical equipment, in staging a successful live show.
The main topic of these practical courses is equalisation.Day by day practice provides students with operational methods needed to achieve a good mix quickly, and understand the rules of physics that will guide the cretivity that each individual will bring into this industry.
Students will be guided through the fundamentals of creating a front of house and monitor mix setting up backline amps, microphones and all general aspects of setting up a concert.
During the course a number of band perform warm up gigs to assist your work, as well as help you develop the skills needed to deal with artists in a profesional manner.
Our aims is to train people to the ultimate level of profesionalism, to handle the dificult environment of a live show.Deciding to be an engineer does not mean you are only a machine operator, but also a musician, a diplomat, a salesman, and a peace keeper with the ability to always find the best in everyone.
The Tutors
The lectures are actively involved (both house engineers and freelance engineers), and are well experienced in live applications, with the ability and determination to comunicate their knowledge in simple terms for every body to understand.
Classes consist of a small group of people thus giving the students the opportunity of one to one assessment and advice.Tutors (in LAE-London), includes Rob Allen(Manic Street Preachers Engineer) and David (Naff) Freeth(Head of engineers of the Mean Fiddler), in the case of LAE-Spain there some engineers of spanish bands like Manolo Tena,Rosendo, M-Clan, Celtas Cortos who come to teach about their experiences.
And for the computer music the tutors come from IRCAM(Paris-France), Santa Cruz Univ.(USA), Š
There are also many guest lecturers who are equipment designers/manufacturers/PA company representatives (such as Dave Hayden, BSS Audio)
